    West Java Civil Servant Targeted General Champion in Asean Civil Service Games 2015


    BANDUNG-West Java Provincial Government had an honour from central government for sending the contingent to represent of Indonesia to compete in the event of The 1st Asean Civil Service Games (ACSG) 2015 on November 15-20, 2015. The ten participants who participated are Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Filipina, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

    ACSG is an event competition of civil servant sports in Asean, and for the first time will held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This event intended to establish cooperation among countries in Asean, especially for civil servant through sports.Determination ACSG venue relating to Malaysia as the Chairman of ASEAN 2015.

    Regional secretary of West Java Province Iwa Karniwa appreciate the offer of the National Civil Service Agency to West Java provincial government to send a contingent who represent Indonesia.

    “Such an honour for provincial government to be able to participate in this international event," he said during the inauguration of the Indonesian contingent in the West Hall of Gedung Sate, Bandung, on Tuesday (27/10) morning.

    Iwa was sure if the preparation and collaboration steady team can reach the target as general champion. “We have done investment through routine exercise on Porpemprov Porpemda," he explained.

    Iwa said if the team succeed to bring the championship title, the civil servants who are involved as an athlete or official will be awarded the promotion. "Under the direction of the Head of BKN, they will be given a bonus in the form of a promotion. We adjust it later with applicable laws and regulations,” he said.

    At the inauguration of Indonesian contingent was also submitted a letter of instruction from Head of State Personnel Board which was symbolically handed over to the Manager and Supervisor Contingent.

    Head of State Personnel Board Bima Haria Wibisana as Chief de Mission explained that there are five sports that will be competed, there are bowling, golf, table tennis, futsal and badminton. Indonesia will follow all the sports with 33 athletes men, 12 women athletes and also 15 official,” he explained.

    "60 people is consist of 21 civil servants West Java province, three civil servants in ministries and agencies, three civil servants from other provincial (Jakarta, Central Java and East Java), 28 civil servants from the counties and cities in West Java Province, and 4 non-civil servants to coach and physiotherapist,” he added. He will also bring some of the former players of Persib, like Kekey Zakaria and Tatang.

    Bima explained the budget for this event prepared by the Malaysia Organising Committee in the form of accommodation consists of the hotel, meals and transportation during the activities for the whole official and athletes, and also a plane ticket for golf and bowling athletes from Malaysia Airlines.

    To achieve the target, there are three stages to be undertaken: Pre-Training Centre, Training Centre on November 7 to 14 2015 in Bandung, as well as the test stage. "According to the plan, on November 11 will be released by Menpora (Youth and Sports Minister) after the hand-over by the Governor of West Java," Bima said.
