KARAWANG-Agricultural sector has become one of the leading sectors in Karawang regency from year to year until karawang district known as the granary town.
Although Karawang now has become an industrial areas, but people in Karawang still make farming as their livelihood.
For this reason the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Infrastructure and Facilities Directorate handed over the assistance to the Karawang community which symbolically given by vice regent of Karawang H. Ahmad Zamakhsary on Wednesday (27/4) at the office of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Karawang regency.
Assistance provided in the form of agricultural equipment such as tractors 320 units, 64 units water pumps and transplanter as many as 42 units. Besides farming tools, assistance has been provided in supporting infrastructure as rehabilitation of irrigation channels covering 5,000 hectares in 30 districts, construction of farm buildings 10 units in 7 districts and piping as much as 2 units in two districts.
