BANDUNG - Parliament appealed to the public to take advantage of non-cash transactions and digital financial services in any trading activities.
Member of Commission XI of the House of Representatives, Kardaya Warnika said there are many advantages if we use non-cash transactions and digital financial services in any trading activities.
"These advantage such as reducing printing money because it’s expensive to print it, and also to avoid and reduce counterfeiting money and its practically can be controlled," he said. Kardaya states, the need for continuous socialisation to the public regarding the use of non-cash transactions and digital financial services, because this method is still relatively low by local communities in Indonesia.
“In Indonesia, there are still a few who use non-cash transactions, only reached 20% of the total population," said Kardaya to www.Jabarprov.go.id last weekend. According to Kardaya it’s necessary to provide an understanding and educating the wider community about the non-cash payment and digital financial services.
"At the moment we entered the globalisation of the free market which is certainly in the payment transaction which is rarely done in cash," he said.
