    Vice Governor Leads the OTDA Day Ceremony at Gedung Sate


    BANDUNG-West Java Vice Governor Deddy Mizwar leads morning ceremony in the 20th OTDA  Day 2016 commemoration in the level of West Java province in the backyard of Gedung Sate, Monday (25/4).

    In this Otda Day ceremony, Vice Governor conveyed the message of the Minister of Home Affairs Tjahyo Kumolo which emphasise three main things which in accordance with the theme "Strengthening Regional Autonomy Challenges in Facing the Asean Economic Community."

    "First, the Regional Autonomy, which has become a commitment and consensus of the founders of the Indonesian as mandated in the Constitution of 1945, aims to improve people's welfare through improving the quality of public services, community development, improving the competitiveness of the region and the development of local democracy," said Vice Governor in his speech.

    Secondly, the central government through the MEA asked the local government had to re-organise all elements of regional autonomy, so that Indonesia not be a spectator in the era of free competition. Because in the era of MEA imposed 5 free flow of economic activity between Asean countries, namely: (1) the free flow of goods, (2) the free flow of services, (3) the free flow of labor, (4) the free flow of capital and (5) the free flow of investment.

    Thirdly, through the Indonesian regional autonomy will not be expected to compete with countries that are in other Asean environment.

    In addition, there are currently 42,633 legislation that overlap and 3,000 regional regulations have to be canceled in 2016. To that end, the local government together with Parliament asked to immediately follow the cancellation of Regional Regulation in their respective regions, particularly laws that hamper investment, licensing, and contrary to the higher legislation.
