YOGYAKARTA-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan is awarded Satyalancana Karya Bhakti Praja Nugraha that presented by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, at the town square of Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, on Monday (25/04/16).
Bakti Praja Nugraha Award is the highest award of the President in terms of the management of the government. The award is based on the best assessment in the Implementation of Performance Evaluation of Local Government (EKPPD) 2014 on Regional Government Accountability Report (LPPD) in 2014 conducted by the Home Affairs Ministry and the BPKP.
Some aspects of the assessment include the accountability of the budget report, Regional Financial Information, Local Government Agencies Performance Report, as well as other aspects of the policy, institutional, and human resources on regional autonomy.
The areas that get awards, among others: East Java, Central Java and West Java (for the category of the Provincial Government). While the ten of local government that receives awards are Tulungagung, Pinrang, Sidoarjo, Pasaman, Nganjuk, Bantul, Lamongan, Kudus, Kulon Progo and Bintan. While the ten city that receive awards are Surabaya, Semarang, Probolinggo, Samarinda, Madiun, Balikpapan, Solo, Malang, Blitar and Mojokerto.
When met after the ceremony, the Governor of West Java express his gratitude for the hard work of staff for gaining this award. He is determined to further improve the quality of public services, especially in education and health. Governor reveals that this two things was very influential on the welfare.
"Education is 94% very significant to influence the income and well-being. If then it coupled with health then would be more to reach 98%," said Aher.
On this occasion also given the Parasamya Purnakarya Nugraha award. This award is the highest for local governments that for three consecutive years has best performance status in the administration of government. They are Kulon Progo regency, Pasaman regency, Semarang City Government and City Government of Probolinggo
This award is the culmination of a series event of the 20th Regional Autonomy Day which became part of efforts to reflect on the meaning of decentralisation and regional autonomy that has been implemented since 1999. In 2016 the theme is "Strengthening Regional Autonomy Challenges in Facing the Asean Economic Community”.
