BANDUNG-Padjadjaran University received 25 units of bicycles assistance from Mandiri Bank. The bikes will be used as mobility of UNPAD academic community on Jatinangor campus as one of the early implementation of the policy to reduce exhaust emission levels of vehicles in the campus.
Submission of bicycle symbolically conducted by representatives of Mandiri Bank Basuki Hardiyanto to Rector Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad during the implementation of Earth Day 2016 at Padjadjaran Jatinangor, Sunday (4/24). Events held by the Student Association Executive (BEM Kema Unpad) that was attended by the university and faculty, students, teachers, and educators in UNPAD.
In his speech, the Rector said, to permit use of the vehicle in front of the campus will be reduced. Vehicles belonging to the academic community and educators can be parked in the parking area will be provided in the area of ??the entrance to the campus. Provision of transport and bicycles can be used by the academic community as well as educators as a mobilisation tool.
"This aspect is an exercise of our attitude to maintain the campus environment. All have to remind each other,” said Rector.
UNPAD residents is expected to participate in monitoring and alerting in case of violations in the campus. Any violation is repeated, the Rector said, it would be subject to sanctions. "I hope that these sanctions should not happened. All have to remind each other,” he added.
