    Aher: Persib should be a champion to reach Jabar Kahiji


    BANDUNG-As a bobotoh (the nickname of Persib fans), West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan claims will continue to support and pray for the community pride team, Persib Bandung to become champion in the Liga Indonesia 2016 titled Torabika Soccer Championship, which will be held on April 29 next week.

    He also convinced Persib can repeat its success on the league champions in the previous year.

    "As citizens of West Java and bobotoh, we pray, push and encourage Persib to become a champion again like last year," said Aher while attending the launching of players and jersey of Persib Bandung at Siliwangi Stadium Saturday afternoon (23/04/06).

    With populated by a star-studded squad and fanatical support by bobotoh, Aher hopes the squad architected by Dejan Antonic is unable to show its best game until return to West Java.

    "Hopefully Persib able to show their best game, do not worry, I 100% support and always there behind of Persib," he said.

    At the same time, next September in West Java will be held PON XIX and Peparnas XV, Aher also asked bobotoh and the entire community to launch the games and contribute to the contingent of West Java in order to become the general champion.

    "West Java will be host at the event of PON XIX, hopefully all goes well. I ask the support and prayers from all of you," said Aher in front of thousands bobotoh.

    Regarding to the place for the opening of PON, Aher together with the PB PON will continue to strive it will be held at the Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) which will also be used as a home base of Persib.

    "We will continue to push to be held in GBLA, hopefully the contractor can quickly make the improvements of the stadium and the access road will also completed on time. Persib should be champion and Jabar Kahiji," he concluded
