BANDUNG - Rumah Zakat target school, SD Juara Bandung received the National Adiwiyata 2019 award for the independent category. The award was given directly by the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, Siti Nurbaya Bakar.
Principal Bandung Champion Elementary School Tito Suhendar said, the award was the fourth time won by Bandung Champion Elementary School. Adiwiyata's evaluation was seen from several aspects, such as school policies with environmental perspectives, curriculum, community participation, and infrastructure.
"Bandung Champion Elementary School has a Love School Movement Program that must be applied in their daily lives. The program includes garbage collection, sakolaku heju, clean champion, dress rehearsal, and separating and utilizing waste, "explained Tito.
The Adiwiyata Award was received at the Manggala Wanabakti Building, Jakarta on Friday (12/13). Tito hopes, with these achievements can foster good habits for children, especially regarding environmental care that starts from school.
