BANDUNG - Christmas 2019 security operations and the new 2020 year will take place from 19 December 2019 to 6 January 2020. The West Java Transportation Agency, West Java Regional Police and other related parties are finalizing the safety preparations in a coordination meeting which took place at the West Sumatra Transportation Agency Office, Monday (12/16) ).
West Java Transportation Agency Head Hery Antasari said coordination had been carried out since November and resumed today.
"Security is the same as Eid, but of course we will focus on tourist sites," he said.
He asserted there were a number of things that needed to be the attention of officers, such as the operation of the Jakart Cikampek Levated toll road section which was predicted to speed up Jakarta's journey to the east, especially Bogor and Bandung.
"I predict about 30 percent of travelers will use this new toll, but on the other hand there will be a buildup of vehicles at the entrance and exit or in KM 10 and KM 48. We will focus there," he said.
Another thing is security at tourist sites, because many spots in West Java will be visited by tourists for Christmas and year-end holidays such as Bogor Peak and Bandung City. Then Garut, Ciamis and Subang.
Precautions are also given at accident prone points such as prince's rock in Sumedang, Cipularanga KM 90-100, Cipali Toll, Bogor-Puncak road and emang Subang incline.
"The rain has begun to spread evenly, we are also aware of landslides and flood prone," he said. jo
