BOGOR REGENCY - West Java Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum officially opened the 2019 Borderline Economic Summit (BES) forum at the Royal Tulip Gunung Geulis Resort and Golf, Kab. Bogor, Thursday (12/12/19).
BES 2019 itself is a forum that aims to accelerate the development of the 12 district / city border areas surrounding Bogor Raya. Uu also appreciated the forum initiated by 12 Regency / City Regional Governments (Pemda) in order to realize an increase in the welfare of the border region.
"We appreciate and respect, and support various ideas submitted by the Regent (Bogor). The idea or idea is very bright, "Uu said.
According to Uu, innovation and collaboration are very important to be applied in increasing and accelerating development in border areas. Moreover, West Java Province has a number of potentials, both Human Resources (HR) and Natural Resources (SDA).
"(Pemda) of West Java Province is very supportive and encouraging or if necessary we can accelerate what we all expect in fighting for the border area," he said.
"Some programs (proposed at BES) are already included in our program, such as the Puncak II route, mining road, waste, floods and others. That's all in our program. It means, this is a tit for tat, "he added.
Meanwhile, Bogor Regent Ade Yasin explained eight strategic issues included in economic management in the border area around Bogor Raya. The first is the construction of an east central axis road (Cianjur Regency and Karawang Regency).
Then, the development of transit-oriented area (TOD) at the LRT node (Bogor City). Furthermore, the development of transit-oriented areas (TOD) at the railroad node (Lebak Regency, Tangerang Regency, and Depok City). Fourth, the construction of special mining roads (Tangerang Regency and South Tangerang City).
In addition, Twin Geopark Pongkor-Ciletuh (Sukabumi Regency). Sixth, handling the watershed (DAS) of Bekasi times and solid waste (Bekasi City, Bekasi Regency, and Depok City). Then, the liaison between Cimanggis-Cibitung and Japek II toll roads (Bekasi City, Bekasi Regency, Karawang Regency). Finally, flood control in the upstream area (Bogor City and Depok City).
"The eight strategic issues formulated by representatives of 12 regional heads tend to be related to infrastructure that is the basis of accelerating economic development," said Ade.
"Provision of this infrastructure inevitably must involve the Central Government," he added.
