    November, West Java Experienced Inflation


    BANDUNG - West Java Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that in November 2019 the combined West Java Consumer Prices (CPI) covering 7 cities namely Bogor City, Sukabumi City, Bandung City, Cirebon City, Bekasi City, Depok City and Tasikmalaya City increased index.

    "The CPI from 136.95 in October 2019 to 137.25 in November 2019 thus resulted in inflation of 0.22 percent," Head of West Java BPS Dody Herlando said on Monday.

    The year to date calendar year inflation rate (January - November 2019) was 2.86 percent and the year on year inflation rate (November 2019 to November 2018) was 3.42 percent.

    Of the seven expenditure groups all experienced inflation, namely the Foodstuffs Group at 0.54 percent, the Food, Beverage, Cigarettes & Tobacco Group at 0.24 percent, the Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas & Fuel Group at 0.11 percent.

    The Clothing Group by 0.23 percent, the Health Group by 0.34 percent, and the Education, Recreation & Sports Group by 0.01 percent, and the Transportation, Communication & Shipping Group by 0.01 percent.

    Of the seven CPI monitoring cities in West Java in November 2019, all experienced inflation, namely Bogor by 0.24 percent, Sukabumi by 0.28 percent, Bandung by 0.14 percent, Cirebon by 0.26 percent, Bekasi by 0 , 37 percent, Depok City by 0.13 percent, and Tasikmalaya City by 0.07 percent. Jo
