West Java Governor Invites Millennial to Become Village Owned Company CEO

JAKARTA - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil was the speaker at the 2019 Conference on Indonesian Foreign Policy (CIFP) at Kota Kasablanka Mall, Jakarta, Saturday (11/30/19). The event was attended by thousands of millennials.

On this occasion, Emil - familiar greeting Ridwan Kamil - invited millennials to be involved in the West Java Provincial Government's development program, especially One Village One Company (OVOC).

"This program is not only limited to (millennial) people in West Java, but also for all of you from all over Indonesia to become the CEO of this program (OVOC). Because I am the Governor of West Java, he will later be placed in a village in West Java, "Emil said.

"In West Java there are about 5,000 villages. So, I need 5,000 CEOs, young Indonesians, "he added.

Previously, the West Java Provincial Government officially released 110 millennials who passed the Village Patriot program in Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Thursday (11/28/19). The young people who have been equipped with knowledge will become supporters of the implementation (OVOC) to pioneer village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) based on village potentials in West Java.

As for the technical assignments in the village, these patriots must be able to do spatial, sectoral, and planning mapping. They will also make plans for developing community-based potentials and local wisdom and preparing village-level business groups and institutions.

Even in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, 110 Village Patriots must have the ability to use information and communication technology to encourage digital-based village economic development.

In addition, in his presentation at CIFP 2019, Emil emphasized the importance of the value of happiness of each individual. Therefore, the West Java Provincial Government continues to improve the community's happiness index.

To achieve this, the West Java Provincial Government presents a number of innovations aimed at providing direct services to the community, such as Mobile Puskesmas (Mpus), Village Champion (Mascara) Village Aspiration Cars, Beloved Cars (Selected Asih Counseling Vehicles) Champion, Layout Caring, and West Java Quick Response (JQR).

"The greatest happiness is that life has benefits. I try to be useful through political power through change, sending services, "he said.

"The point is to use this life opportunity to provide benefits, not just life for yourself that often infects millennial today. The time is up, it's busy but there aren't many benefits, "Emil said ending.
