BALI (11/232019) - The National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) held the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASSRAT) at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali.
The convening of the conference in collaboration with the Association for Sustainable Sustainability Practitioners (IPKB), began with the awarding of the Trophy (ASSRAT) to the best companies that have successfully communicated sustainability performance to stakeholders through sustainability reports.
Bio Farma as a producer of vaccines & antisera that has been transformed into a life science company in Indonesia, has gained another achievement, which is to achieve the "Gold Rank" in the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating 2019.
The award was presented directly by Michele Lemmens, Regional Head of the ASEAN Hub at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and received by the Director of Finance & Bio Farma Business Partners, I.G.N Suharta Wijaya.
This is the 15th year award by NCSR. Until 2017 we call it the Sustainability Reporting Award but since 2018 we changed the system from Award to Rating, said Prof. Eko Ganis, Chair of IPKB.
"For us, sustainability reports are important in making our business accountable to the public, especially showing the company's concern for the environment, social & conservation," Suharta said.
According to Ali Darwin, NCSR Executive Director, since last year, the system was changed to Rating. The participants are not only from Indonesia, but also from other countries in Asia, the brand name we use is "Asia
Sustainability Reporting Rating ", this is the only system of ranking sustainability reports that exist today. (Pun)
