BANDUNG CITY- Acting Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Java Province (West Java) Daud Achmad officially inaugurated members of the Kuningan Regency and Bekasi City Consumer Dispute Resolution Board (BPSK) for the 2019-2024 period at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Wednesday (11/19/19).

Inauguration of BPSK members Kuningan and BPSK Bekasi City in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1200 and No. 1201.

"BPSK is a forum to educate the public so that they can obtain goods or services from producers well. Then BPSK has a role to resolve disputes that occur between consumers and producers, "said Daud.

Daud added that the inauguration this year was the third inauguration carried out by the Regional Government (Pemda) of West Java Province.

The transfer of the authority of BPSK's tasks from the regency / city to the West Java Provincial Government, Daud continued, is fast and conducive. This refers to the various provincial government asset buildings that were lent to the regency / city BPSK in West Java.

"As well as operational assistance grants from the West Java Provincial Government to BPSK in 2019 this is Rp7,725,000,000 (seven billion seven hundred twenty-five million rupiah) which is destined for 17 BPSK in districts / cities," he added.

Daud also said, the efforts of the West Java Provincial Government did not stop only with the facilitation of funding and the provision of BPSK building facilities, but also encouraged the growth of smart consumers, who were critical and courageous to fight for their rights in accordance with Law No. 8 on Consumer Protection.

For this reason, Daud advised BPSK members who had been appointed to continue to deepen their knowledge and broaden their horizons in terms of consumer dispute resolution in order to create a fair trade atmosphere in the community.
