BANDUNG CITY- West Java Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum was the inspector of the Heroes' Day commemoration ceremony in West Java in 2019 in Lapang Gasibu, Bandung City, Sunday (11/10/19).

The ceremony began with a minute's silence to commemorate the struggle and services of Indonesian heroes.

In his message, Uu said that the commemoration of Heroes' Day was a momentum to appreciate the services and sacrifice of the country's heroes.

In addition, Uu also hopes that the sacrifice of Indonesia's heroes can ignite the spirit of the young generation to innovate.

"Being a hero today can be done by anyone in the form of concrete actions to strengthen the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. For example, helping, not provoking, not spreading hoaks, not harming others," Uu said.

According to Uu, today's heroes can overcome all the problems of the nation. Therefore, heroic values ??must be disseminated and planted to the younger generation.

Uu also said that the current values ??of heroism were not a matter of sacrifice or driving out the invaders, but rather carving achievements and making the name of the nation on the international stage.

"The meaning of this hero day is by working to develop a country for advanced Indonesia," Uu said.

After the Heroes' Day commemoration ceremony, Uu together with FKPD staff, including the Mayor of Bandung, performed a flowering ceremony at the Cikutra Heroes Cemetery, Bandung City.

Before sowing flowers, Uu paid his respects. He also sprinkled flowers and offered prayers to the hero and former leader of the Pasundan Land.

"Happy hero day and be a hero today who boasts the country," Uu said ending.
