BANDUNG - The economy of West Java based on the amount of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the third quarter of 2019 reached Rp544.56 trillion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp380.26 trillion.
"On that basis, the economy of West Java in quarter III-2019 against quarter III-2018, grew 5.14 percent (y-on-y), meaning that it slowed compared to achievements in quarter III-2018 of 5.57 percent," said the Head of the Central Agency Statistics (BPS) West Java Doddy Herlando, Tuesday (11/5).
BPS said, in terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Health Services and Social Activities Business Field at 14.88 percent. In terms of expenditure achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure Component which grew 9.80 percent.
The economy of West Java in the third quarter of 2019 compared to the previous quarter rose by 1.29 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Field at 15.04 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the highest increase occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component of 9.31 percent.
The economy of West Java until the third quarter of 2019 (c-to-c) grew 5.41 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication Business Field at 11.98 percent.
Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it was mainly driven by the Goods and Services Export Component which grew by 7.81 percent.
Sources of growth rate (Source of Growth, SOG) in terms of (y-o-y) from the business field sector that contributed the largest growth was the Manufacturing Industry Business Field that is equal to 2.00 percent.
