    West Java NTP Increases


    BANDUNG - West Java Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said that during October 2019 West Java NTP increased by 0.35 percent compared to September 2019, from 110.97 to 111.36. In addition the price index of agricultural production (IT) rose by 0.27 percent and the price index of goods and services consumed by farmers (IB) fell by 0.08 percent.

    Head of West Java BPS Dody Herlando said there were 2 out of 5 subsectors that experienced an increase namely the Food Crop subsector with an increase of 1.60 percent, and the People's Plantation Plant subsector which increased by 0.52 percent.

    While the other 3 subsectors grew negatively. The Horticultural Plants sub-sector fell by 1.09 percent, the Livestock sub-sector experienced a decrease of 0.65 percent, and the Fisheries sub-sector by a decrease of 0.25 percent.

    Household consumption in rural areas experienced a deflation of 0.19 percent. Only a few groups of expenditure experienced inflation. Deflation of the Foodstuffs Group by 0.65 percent; Processed Foods, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco with inflation of 0.21 percent; Housing group with inflation of 0.08 percent; Clothing group with inflation of 0.40 percent.

    Health Group with inflation of 0.01 percent; Education, Recreation and Sports Group with deflation of 0.01 percent; and the Transportation and Communication Group with inflation of 0.01 percent. Jo
