BANDUNG - Starting December 1, 2019 most train trips will experience changes in the departure schedule. That is because KAI will use the 2019 KA Travel Charts that have been determined through the Decree of the Minister of Transportation number KP 1781 in 2019 concerning the Establishment of the 2019 KA Travel Charts PT KAI (Persero).
"Determination of Gapeka 2019 is to replace Gapeka 2017 which was previously used by KAI," Said the Main Director of KAI Edi Sukmoro.
Edi asserted, Gapeka 2019 was made to meet the aspirations and needs of customers for reliable train services. Edi added that the public could order tickets on November 1, 2019 for departure on December 1, 2019 and so on in stages in all purchasing channels.
"I appeal to prospective train passengers with departure on December 1, 2019 and so on to pay attention to the schedule printed on the ticket again. The goal is to not get behind the train because Gapeka 2019 has been implemented, "said Edi.
Railroad or Gapeka Travel Charts are guidelines for organizing train trips that are depicted in the form of lines showing stations, time, distance, speed, and position of train travel starting from departing, stopping, arriving, crossing, and following, which are graphically depicted for controlling train travel.
Gapeka replacement was carried out because since 2017 there have been so many developments in railways such as, the operation of the Dual Track South Java and Sumatra, Adding New Lines such as the South Sumatra LRT, Adding Stations, increasing the speed of infrastructure, and establishing new train trips.
"KAI has always been oriented to customer satisfaction in determining company policies. Through Gapeka 2019, we hope that more and more people will use the mode of rail transportation," concluded Edi.
