    West Java Provincial Government Pushes Tourism Sector in Rural Areas


    PURWAKARTA REGENCY - In its efforts to develop West Java (West Java), the Provincial Government of West Java Province continues to equalize development, increase the pace of the economy, and explore tourism potential.

    When reviewing the Natural Tourism Object of Sand Langlang Purwakarta Regency, West Java Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum said, his party continued to explore tourism potential by bringing up the wealth or diversity of local products.

    In addition, the West Java Provincial Government is also trying to bring up and uplift the characteristics or identity of the West Java people through the tourism sector.

    "Because tourism provides a multiplier effect, triggered by tourism activities will spur the emergence of other economic activities," Uu said in Pusakamulya Village, Kec. Kiarapedes Kab. Purwakarta, Monday (4/11/19).

    Uu added, facilities, infrastructure, and accessibility to tourist sites, especially in rural areas also became one of the main focuses.

    Promotion through various events was carried out by West Java Provincial Government, one of which was at the West Java Festival 2019 which also coincided with the launch of Smiling West Java, an application that contains information on tourist locations in West Java.

    According to Uu, his party has also conducted a survey of approximately 11 location points in rural areas of West Java. In 2020, it is targeted that there will be 10 tourism objects in rural areas that will be developed.

    "In rural areas we support (tourist objects) with basic facilities. Most roads lead to attractions that require attention," said Uu.

    "We hope that there will be progress as expected next year," he concluded.
