BANDUNG CITY- West Java (West Java) Governor Ridwan Kamil, explained material related to urban planning in the 2019 ASEAN-Japan City and Architecture Forum (AJCAF) at the Aryaduta Hotel in Bandung on Thursday (10/31/19).
In his presentation, the governor who is familiarly called Emil did not miss promoting the potential and investment opportunities in West Java to the world aristek.
Emil also said that the material delivered was based on knowledge and experience since he was a student, architect, and became the regional leader namely the Mayor of Bandung and the Governor of West Java.
"This is an architectural forum and city planning, so I conveyed my experience as mayor, the positive things that will be duplicated as governor, one of which is the square project. There are about 6 to 7 regency / city projects being undertaken this year," Emil said after the event.
Regarding investment potential and opportunities in West Java, Emil said that in the provinces with the largest population in Indonesia, new cities could be present as a positive impact of infrastructure development that was intensively carried out by the government.
So, continued Emil, it was there that architects could play a role in building new points of civilization for a better future for West Java and even Indonesia and the world.
"Second, new cities will be present because of transportation routes. There are only three points from the fast train (Karawang, Walini, and Tegalluar), so the opportunity to present new concepts in building the city is very open," Emil said.
In addition, Emil added that the West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) under his leadership also wanted the industrial estate in West Java to be more organized so that it would be more humane and pro-worker.
"For example, I forced a new industry in Subang to build a flat next to the factory, at first he wanted to make a conventional one, a factory where flats where (separated), then the motorbike installment should be done again, what else should the installments be," said Emil.
"So my opportunity as a leader (is) to strengthen new concepts on the development of the city," said Emil ended.
