BANDUNG- West Java Provincial Government through the Department of Tourism and Culture of West Java Province participated in The Craftmanship of Indonesia "The 16 Indo Craft" Batik Fashion & Accessories which took place from Wednesday (30/10) to Sunday (03/11) at the Assembly Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, Jl. Gatot Subroto, Jakarta.
The event which was attended by around 127 participants from representatives of Provinces, Cities and Regencies as well as State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) was opened by the Deputy for Youth Development of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Republic of Indonesia Dr. H. M. Asrorun Ni'am Sholeh. M.A.
Head of the Tourism Industry Sector of the West Java Province Tourism and Culture Office, Azis Zulficar Aly Yusca S. STP M. Si explained that the participation of the Indocraft event held by PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti was the first time West Java Province participated.
"The 2019 Indocraft Exhibition is a craft exhibition that is routinely held. For 2019 this is the 16th time, since 2004," Azis said, in the opening of the 2019 Indocraft Exhibition at the Assembly Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Wednesday (Wednesday) 10/31).
According to Azis, at the 2019 Indocraft Exhibition, the West Java Tourism and Culture Service stand presented typical West Java products such as batik, Tasik embroidery bags, Bogor leather bags, Bandung Muslimah clothing, Bangkevin Coffee, Bandrek & Bajigur packages from West Java.
"The enthusiasm and interest of the people, especially in Jakarta, are very much looking forward to the presence of this West Java stand because they already know that West Java products are very high quality and have high competitiveness," he said.
Azis said, the embroidery bag from Tasik which is a combination of leather and hand made embroidery is a superior product and has been used by upper middle class mothers, even Indonesian official mothers have also used it from among the ministerial mothers and so on.
"Our ecraf product already has its own market position and is difficult to compete with other regions. We also plan to patent through IPR a number of West Java ecraf products. (Parno)
