    Public Relations Media Award 2019, Director General of IKP Calling Public Relations Strategic Position

    The Public Relations Media Award (AMH) closed the series of 2019 Public Information and Communication Synergy (SAIK) activities. Director General of Information and Communication (IKP) of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Widodo Muktiyo, expressed his appreciation to the winners. According to him, Public Relations is a very strategic profession in conveying government policy information to the public.

    "The main thing is actually a joint appreciation that public relations is a profession that is very strategic and needed by the community, tasked with delivering information to get to the community. In terms of the President, 'not only send, but deliver'. Let's appreciate ourselves tonight, "said Director General of IKP, Widodo Muktiyo when opening the 2019 Public Relations Media Award Night, Friday (10/25/2019) at the Novotel Bangka Hotel and Convention Center, Pangkalpinang.

    In his remarks, Director General Widodo also conveyed the message of the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate, who stated that he would continue to support government public relations activities. "I represent the Minister of Communication and Information, he is very happy to be together with the ranks of the Ministry of Communication and Information and will continue to support Bakohumas activities. In fact, the Ministry of Communication and Information will specifically align communication and informatics. Communication is as important as informatics, "explained Director General Widodo quoting the message of the Minister of Communication and Information.

    As a venue for awarding the achievements of government public relations works throughout Indonesia, AMH 2019 aims to create a spirit of positive competition in a performance-based public relations environment, while providing opportunities to improve the quality of government public relations performance. Not only that, AMH is expected to stimulate government public relations and the Public Relations Coordinating Board (Bakohumas) to strengthen its role in disseminating information related to government programs to the public.

    As in previous years, there were 5 (five) media categories that were contested in AMH 2019, namely the category of Press Releases / News, Internal Media Publishing (In-house Magazine), Social Media, Websites, and the Agency Exhibition Exhibition category.

    The perspectives of public communication, creativity, and ethics and aesthetics, are some of the elements assessed by the Jury coming from media practitioners, social media practitioners, and information and communication technology experts. Also joining as the jury team, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Expert in Digital Literacy, Donny Budi Utoyo, as well as news presenters Prita Laura and Alfito Deanova.

    AMH WINNER 2019

     There is a change in the AMH Winner Classification this year. If in 2018 the classification of winners for each category was divided into Best I, II, and III at the Central and Regional level, this year the Classification of Winners for each category was divided according to agencies, namely the Best Ministries / Institutions, the Best BUMN / D, the Best State Universities, The Best Provincial Government, and the Best Regency / City Government.

     While for the category of Institution Exhibition Booths, there are additional classifications of winners namely Informative and Archipelago.

    ABOUT SAIK 2019

    The Synergy Festival of Public Information and Communication Action (SAIK) 2019 is an annual event held by the Directorate General of Public Information and Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Bangka Belitung Islands.

    SAIK 2019 was attended by 169 agencies from the Ministry of Public Relations / Institutions, BUMN / D, State Universities in Indonesia, Provincial / District / City Diskominfo throughout Indonesia, to the Social Performing Arts Social Communication Institute and Community Information Groups.

    Held for three days since 23 s.d. October 25, 2019, the SAIK 2019 Festival was filled with various series of activities, including the National Bakohumas Meeting, the National Performance Festival (Petunra), and the Public Expose & Public Service Exhibitions.

    Not only that, participants were also equipped with Coaching Class for Communication Strategy Formulation and Technical Guidance (Bimtek) Empowerment of Community Information Groups about branding strategies in the new media era, creative content creation in the form of memes, short videos, and infographics.

    Previously at the opening of SAIK 2019, the Director General of Information and Public Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Widodo Muktiyo hoped that the younger generation could enliven SAIK 2019 activities and take advantage to become smarter. He hopes SAIK 2019 can be a momentum for the young generation of Bangka Belitung to grow digital intelligence by being smarter in choosing positive content in cyberspace.
