BANDUNG - The Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia will continue to support the Citarum Harum Program, which has been running for 2 years now.
Assistant Deputy for Education and Training of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Tb. Haeru Rahayu said, his office will continue to strive to make the Citarum river better.
"Even though various positive efforts have been carried out, the performance is indeed not yet optimal. And the power is always said, the honeymoon period is over," he said.
According to Tb Haeru, the problem of coordination between Regional Governments is one of the causes of the not yet maximum performance in handling the Citarum river problem.
"A good inter-regional government coordination will be very decisive, because the resolution of a number of Citarum River problems must be done across regions, not each," he said.
Haeru stated, although there were many obstacles in carrying out the Citarum Harum program, his side was optimistic that the program would run optimally and produce results as expected by all parties.
"Positive responses when we communicate with ministries, institutions, NGOs, and others, we are optimistic that this program will run well," he said. (Parno)
