    West Java Wins World Record For Kaulinan Barudak


    SUBANG - Record Holder Republic (RHR) conferred the world record for 4 types of barudak kaulinan or the most traditional games at the Thematic Cultural Examination of the West Java Cultural Week held in Cibuluh Village, Tanjungsiang District, Subang Regency, Monday (10/07/2019). West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil and Mrs. Atalia Praratya Kamil who were also present at the event seemed to be late with a thousand school children playing the traditional game. The 4 types of games are kokoleceran, salam sabrang, kaulinan barudak dance and game gloves.

    "This is a gift where children are reminded of traditional games which are far more interesting than gadgets," Ridwn Kamil said.

    Kang Emil, Sapan Ridwan Kamil also advised that the local government is committed to continue developing its area for tourism which will become the mainstay of West Java.

    "With the variety and uniqueness of the Subang area, the Regent is expected to continue to develop the existing potential for tourism. God willing, the provincial government will help," he explained.

    Specifically about the Thematic Cultural Check activities, Kang Emil thanked Kang Zaini Alif, the founder of the Hong community, who explored and developed hundreds of types of traditional games in West Java.

    "Thank you Kang Zaini for reviving various types of traditional games. There are three hundreds of traditional games that have been successfully recorded and revived," he concluded. (Even)
