BANDUNG - The Department of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertrans) of West Java Province has begun to revamp the data of migrant workers who work abroad or Indonesian Workers (TKI) who come from West Java as a bang to protect when they work.
According to the Head of West Java Manpower and Transmigration Office, Ade Afriadi, the revamping of the data was carried out through the Champion Migrant program by building the West Java Migrant Service Center in 2020.
"Migrant Champion is the flagship program of how the West Java provincial government provides protection to migrant workers from West Java," said Ade, in the West Java program Have Information (Japri), at Gedung Sate, Friday (05/10).
Ade said, with this program and through this navigation system, data of migrant workers originating from West Java will be collected in a big data.
"West Java Migrant Service Center as a form of service of the Government of West Java which starts from pre-recruitment from high school, vocational school, to work placement in the destination country until they finish the contract back again to Indonesia," he said
Ade ensured, through the navigation system adopted in the West Java Migrant Service Center, migrant workers from West Java would get better protection.
"In the future this program is not only for migrants from West Java, but also for workers from other cities and provinces," he said. (Parno)
