TASIKMALAYA REGENCY - Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum officially opened training and apprenticeship program One Pesantren One Product (OPOP) wave II, which was followed by 148 people from 75 boarding schools, in the boarding school Al Idrisiyyah, Kab. Tasikmalaya, Friday (4/10/19).
According to Uu, the West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) launched the OPOP program to realize the Champion Boarding School. That is, pesantren in West Java must be able to be economically independent.
"Ponpes must have strength or capital, so students and boarding school officials must change their mindset. In addition to studying Jurisprudence, creed, and others, also mastering muamalah," Uu said.
Uu hopes that pesantren in West Java can hold educational activities for decades. This can be realized if pesantren in West Java can meet the logistics and other needs independently by developing entrepreneurship.
"Why do pesantren in East Java last for hundreds of years, because they have restaurants, supermarkets, lodgings and other types of businesses," he said.
"At least within 5 years of our leadership, 5000 pesantren have implemented OPOP (having distinctive products that can be sold to the wider community)," he added.
In 2019 or this first stage as many as 1074 pesantren have registered through online and passed the selection stage. They represent districts in 27 districts / cities, which are divided into two categories, start-up and skill-up.
Next, they took part in training and apprenticeship at the pesantren that had been appointed by the West Java Provincial Government. The training and internships are divided into three waves which take place from 24 September 2019 to 22 October 2019.
For the start-up category, participants will get material on entrepreneurial mindset, self potential mapping, business plan and marketing, market mapping / strategy, business plan operations, business tips and sharing within the pesantren environment, and online marketing practices.
Meanwhile, the material presented to participants in the skill up category includes business development, strategic management, SWOT analysis, business strategy, marketing programs, company operations, financial programs, legal, and business sharing.
"The speakers were not kidding, we present practitioners, consultants, academics and boarding school instructors," Uu said.
"So the participants are equipped with knowledge and skills in managing pesantren businesses, especially in the fields of management and business skills," he concluded.
