BANDUNG CITY- West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil met with students who are members of the Islamic Student Association (HMI) in front of Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Tuesday (1/10/19). Also accompanying West Java Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum.

During the meeting, Emil - as Ridwan Kamil was called - accommodated all the aspirations of students. There are three aspirations expressed by student representatives to Emil. The first aspiration relates to the rejection of the KPK Bill, RKUHP and the Land Bill.

"The points they conveyed are the same as asking for the protest to be conveyed to the central government, which is related to the rejection of the Revision of the KPK Law and RKUHP and the Land Bill," Emil said.

Then, the students asked activists and students detained by the police to be sent home immediately. According to Emil, he will convey these two aspirations to the central government on Wednesday (2/10).

"I happen to have a schedule tomorrow for Jakarta. Hopefully the combination of the aspirations of students from the previous demo will be conveyed to the center according to their mandate," he said.

In addition, the students also asked the West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) to help the treatment of students who were injured during the demonstration a few days ago. Emil asserted, his party has done help by lowering the health team from West Java Quick Response.

"They also asked for help from the treatment of injured students, I think it was helped to do treatment through the West Java Quick Response health team, they are ready there every day (the demonstration site)," he said.

On the same occasion, Emil advised students to channel their aspirations in accordance with regulations, there was no provocation, and the demonstration was over at 18:00 WIB. If these three things are done, he is sure there will be no friction when the demonstration takes place.

"Message from me please convey the demonstration but remain in a law-abiding corridor, there is no provocation through the stone throwing and it ends on schedule at six o'clock. The occurrence of friction is usually because it was violated," he said.

After meeting and channeling aspirations to Emil and Uu, the students immediately dispersed themselves in an orderly manner. In addition, students also appreciated Emil and Uu's steps to meet and listen to their aspirations.
