BALI - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said, the characteristic of happy city residents is that their citizens often leave the house. Therefore, open space or public space strategy is one of the focuses of development in West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) in order to make people happy.
"The characteristic of a happy city is that its citizens like to leave the house, not happy at home," said Emil - Ridwan Kamil's familiar greeting - as a speaker at The 11th Indonesia Human Resources Summit (IHRS) in Nusa Dua, Bali, Thursday (19/9) / 19).
According to Emil, to build Human Resources (HR), his party does not only focus on competence, but also encourages the pattern of forming a happy generation. Therefore, public space is one of the attention of the West Java Regional Government.
Emil also said, there are various expressions in happiness, such as expressions in space, public services, to inner expressions. Public expectations of various expressions needs become part of happiness itself.
"There are many expressions of happiness, there are expressions in the needs of space. Then it is resolved with public space strategy, provision of parks, and others," he said.
"There is also the joy of feeling cared for, we finish with Layad Rawat - services that come to the community, and others. The point is meeting people's expectations is part of happiness, "he added.
In addition, said Emil, the efforts made by the West Java Regional Government as a form of the presence of the state in the midst of society. "So, I am trying to be a state organizer who comes to citizens, not citizens who come to the country," Emil said.
"Therefore, the importance of the government is to listen to the wishes of the community. Can be through complaints, can be through social media. Every aspiration and complaints of the community will be expressed in the policy. That's what makes the City of Bandung and West Java good," said Emil concluded.
