Sorrow of the Santri Commander Regarding the Santri Stabbing Incident in Cirebon

REGENCY. KUNINGAN - Deputy Governor of West Java (Jabar) UU Ruzhanul Ulum who is also the Commander of Santri Jabar condemned the stabbing incident which resulted in the loss of life of Mohammad Rozian, a santri from the Pondok Pesantren Husnul Khotimah Kuningan.

When the incident occurred on Friday, September 6, 2019, the victim was waiting for his mother on Jalan Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Cirebon City, with a colleague.

As Deputy Governor and Commander in Chief of Santri, Uu expressed his deepest condolences and sadness. Uu also prayed that his family, teachers, and friends left behind would be fortunate.

"On behalf of the Santri Commander, we are sorry for what happened to santri Husnul Khotimah," Uu said while visiting the Husnul Khotimah Islamic Boarding School in Kuningan District, West Java, Tuesday (9/10/19).

"I hope to the legal apparatus to follow up (the legal process) as fairly as possible, because those killed are santri, santri are special, rare items, because they have the responsibility of continuing religious teachings, accepting the relay of sharia science," he stressed.

In addition, Uu also appealed to parents to provide the best education for their children so that no more irresponsible people such as stabbing perpetrators.

In the spirit of realizing West Java Champion Born Inner, Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) of West Java continues to erode moral decadence, including through the Champion Publicity program, Ajengan Admission to Schools (AMS), Fajr Congregation, until Maghrib Koran.

The West Java Provincial Government's efforts to maintain the tradition of the spirituality of its citizens, continued Uu, were carried out in order to prevent munkar with the provision of faith and religious knowledge that continued to be implanted.

Uu also hoped that the stabbing incident did not set back the parents' intention to send their children to Husnul Khotimah Islamic Boarding School.

"Hopefully this is the first and last incident," hoped Uu.

So that similar incidents do not recur, Uu urges pesantren and related parties to improve security, both within the pesantren environment and by providing assistance when students want to travel.

"At least there are students who accompany while traveling, not alone, there are those who accompany," said Uu ended.
