BANDUNG-The Financial Services Authority (OJK) as the regulatory and supervisory authority of financial services institutions, grants permission for the merger of BPR Group Polin into PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Sinar Mas Pelita, which is located at Jalan Raya Padalarang Number 36, West Bandung Regency, West Java.
The granting of a merger to PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Sinar Mas Pelita was issued through a Decision of the Members of the Board of Commissioners (KADK) Number KEP-155 / D.03 / 2019 dated August 15, 2019 concerning Granting a Business Merger License (Merger) of PT BPR Sumber Ekonomi , PT BPR Arthamearl Permai, PT BPR Polin Jaya, PT BPR Nauli Dhanaraya, PT BPR Mustika Permai, PT BPR Dipon Sejahtera, PT BPR Sahat Sentosa and PT BPR Sehat Ekonomi into PT BPR Sinar Mas Pelita, as of August 15, 2019.
The issuance of the merger permit is intended to make the BPR resulting from the merger healthier so that it can be more competitive in running its business. The merged BPRs have core capital of more than Rp 50 billion so they are grouped into BPRKU 3 and in accordance with Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) Number 12 / POJK.03 / 2016 dated February 9, 2016 concerning Business Activities and Office Networks of Rural Credit Banks Based on Core Capital.
So that PT BPR Sinar Mas Pelita can conduct business activities including the provision of Electronic Banking services, activities as providers of financial services without an office in the framework of financial inclusion (Laku Pandai), and opening a BPR Office Network in the province where the BPR head office is located and in the district or city in other provinces which border directly with the province where the BPR head office is located.
The merger referred to is expected to be an example or inspiration for other BPR Groups in the framework of fulfilling the provisions relating to minimum core capital as well as business activities and opening of office networks.
The 9 (nine) BPR business merit permit process has been announced in the mass media and on the announcement board of each BPR conducting the merger before granting the merger license of PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Sinar Mas Pelita issued by the OJK, so that customers and parties who have interests have been well informed.
OJK appealed to 9 (nine) BPR customers who had merged to become PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Sinar Mas Pelita to remain calm because the change in business strategy carried out by BPRs did not have an impact on reducing the level of service to customers, instead it would improve services with a variety of business activities and wider office network coverage.
