BANDUNG-The Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS) will hold a five-year Population Census and this time the Population Census will be held in 2020.
According to the Deputy of Balance and Statistical Analysis of BPS RI, Sri Soelistyowati, her office has collaborated with the Director General of Population and Civil Registry and the Provincial Government regarding the plan of the Occupation Census.
"We hope that with the Population Census data quality will be better and more up to date because there are currently a lot of data that have not been well recorded," he said. Sri said, in the 2020 Population Census a number of variables would be asked to the public by the recording officers
"We will ask a number of variables, but the sample is not all so estimates for other SDG's policies for the basis of economic growth, for the benefit of other social data there will be more databases with up to date information so that one data will appear," he said.
Sri stated, for the implementation of the 2020 Population Census, for some areas it would use a digital method. While areas that have not been covered by the internet network, data collection will use paper.
"For areas that have not been covered by the internet network, the Occupational Census will use conventional methods," Sri said in the Regional Consultation (Conregulation) Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) of Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara (Jabalnusra) 2019, in the City Cirebon, Wednesday (04/09).
Sri added, his side had collaborated with the Director General of Population and Civil Registry and the Provincial Government regarding the plan for the Population Census with this digital.
