BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said he would continue to try to change the fate of the people of West Java from ordinary to extraordinary through various community economic growth programs, one of which was through one ponpes one product or OPOP.
"We want to change our fate from ordinary to extraordinary, to become champions, one of which starts with the pesantren economy, to become champions of course through relevant means," he explained at Trans Hotel Bandung, Tuesday (3/9).
On that occasion the Governor symbolically provided assistance to representatives of the Islamic Boarding School in West Java who participated in the OPOP program.
Meanwhile, Head of the West Java KUMKM Office Kusmana Hartadzi said OPOP had now entered the Business Meeting stage and symbolically handed over gifts by the Governor to all pesantren who passed the stage 1 audition at the subdistrict level.
The business meeting is intended to bring together the Boarding School with entrepreneurs and well-known brands in the country in creating a climate of business collaboration. These brands include; ShafCo, TransMart, Aprindo, Pegadaian, Bio Farma, Tokopedia, Gakopsyah, Kadin, Best Brand, Yogya, Belibu, Ran, PT. Inti, BJB Sy, BukaLapak, Asephi, Sindangreret, Ampera, Hisana, Inagri, Superindo, Pindad, Kunafe, Floating Market, BNI Sy, Kartika sari, Angkasa Pura, ICSB, Amanda, Chocodot, Primarasa, Asabri, Blibli, GDAS, LenAS and Telkom.
As is known at the beginning of 2019 the Islamic Boarding Schools have received good socialization through electronic media, flyers, posters, banners and information ballots on the OPOP program and the pesantren have registered themselves online through the website opop.jabarprov.go.id to participate in the OPOP program and are recorded as many as approximately 1565 pounds registered.
Of the 1565 pesantren, a selection of administrative documents was conducted to complete the required data and 1338 pesantren were assessed as complete administrative requirements and passed to the OPOP audition stage 1 at the sub-district level. Of the 1338 pesantren invited to take part in the audition selection phase 1, 1287 pesantren attended the audition selection conducted in every 27 regencies / cities in West Java.
The judges in the audition selection are competent judges from academics (including SBM ITB, Unpad, Ikopin and other universities), successful entrepreneurs and from Islamic boarding schools who are not only advancing in the field of education but are also successful in doing business, such as Al- Ittifaq Ciwidey, Daarut Tauhid Bandung, Nurul Iman Bogor, Khusnul Khotimah Kuningan and Al-Idrisiyah Tasikmalaya. So that the judges can be held accountable for their credibility in carrying out the task of assessing Ponpes who have the right to advance to the next stage get help from the West Java provincial government.
Of the 1287 pesantren that attended audition selection, there were 1074 pesantren who were entitled to advance to the next stage and received prizes from the West Java Provincial Government through the Department of Cooperatives and Small Business UPTD Education and Training of Cooperatives and Entrepreneurs in West Java Province.
