In front of the congregation in attendance, Emil explained a number of progress of the ongoing public development program and will be carried out by the West Java Provincial Government.
Among them is the Satu Desa Satu Hafidz or Sadesa program, which this year has already sent 1,200 village children to various pesantren. A budget of Rp15 billion was poured out to make the Sadesa program a success.
"So that all villages in West Java have the Quran hafidz, so that they become qualified mosque imams," Emil hoped.
In addition, there is an English for Ulama program in which five young West Java scholars graduate from the first stage of the program will be sent to England in November 2019 to preach about peaceful Islam.
"What is the purpose of (English for Ulama)? So that there are no Westerners in Europe or America who are suzzon to Islam. Because our problem is miscommunication," Emil said.
Another program, Emil added, is One Pesantren One Product (OPOP) which involves 100 pesantren. The aim of the program is to encourage pesantren in West Java to become economically independent.
"There are already 100 pesantren, on 3 (September 2019) tomorrow they will be announced. So, we aspire that pesantren in West Java have big businesses like conglomerates, so that pesantren can progress," he concluded.
