Using Fish Finder ApplicationMade Fishermen' Cathes Increase

SUKABUMI REGENCY- West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said, the application of Fish Finder technology in the fisheries sector made fishermen' catches increase up to 10 times. With Fish Finder, fishermen can find out the existence of fish, underwater topography, and depth of the sea.

Fish Finder consists of a monitor and tranducher display. Tranducher itself is functioning to scan the presence of fish in the sea. Later, the movement of the rate of fish under the sea can be seen on the monitor. This helps fishermen in determining the fishing point.

"We in West Java have implemented technology 4.0 for fishermen. That is equipping fishermen with a tool called Fish Finder," Emil said while reviewing the Port of Fish Auction (TPI) of Pelabuhanratu, Sukabumi Regency, Saturday (31/8/19).

"Fishermen do not need to use the feeling anymore, with fish technology detected. So, if all fishermen use this tool income increases."

"Success here at Pelabuhanratu, so I will practice Fish Finder throughout West Java," he added.

Meanwhile, a local fisherman named Iman said, with the use of Fish Finder, the results of conversations at sea increased significantly. In addition to scanning the presence of fish in the sea, the tool can predict the weather, and communicate via chat rooms.

Related to the use of Fish Finder, Faith claimed not difficult. According to him, he only needed one day to learn how to use the technology. "The coordinates will be detected where the fish are located," he said.

Iman said, the average catch of fishermen increased rapidly after using Fish Finder. From 300 kilograms of fish once sailed to 3,000 kilograms of fish. At Pelabuhanratu itself, there are already 15 boats equipped with Fish Finder.

"This technology is useful, Thank you Mr. Governor, this tool is worth campaigning for, we've tried, this tool is very useful," he said.

"At first we were invisible, now there is technology. We can monitor fish to a depth of 200 meters," he added.
