Planning to Relocate the West Java Government Center Through a Comprehensive Study

BANDUNG CITY- The plan to relocate the central government of West Java Province has gone through a comprehensive process and study. Even so with three candidates, namely Tegalluar (Bandung Regency), Walini (West Bandung Regency), and the Rebana Triangle (Majalengka Regency).

Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Prov. West Java Taufiq Budi Santoso explained, the urgency of moving the central government of West Java is a demand to improve the performance of government services to the community. It really depends on the coordination between West Java OPDs.

"The fundamental reason for the effectiveness and efficiency of services, given the location of West Java Provincial Government offices are still separate. In addition, the superiority of regional connectivity, with the development of the Fast Train, BIJB, Cipali Toll Road, and Cisumdawu Toll Road, "said Taufiq.

In addition to the effectiveness and efficiency, said Taufiq, the removal of the central government is motivated to reduce the burden on the city of Bandung. By moving the center of government, West Java will also have a new city of quality, modern, and sustainable.

"Reducing the burden of the City of Bandung by creating a new city of quality, modern, and sustainable. So, the burden in Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi, and Bandung Raya is reduced, so that the two metropolitan areas can make recovery, city repair, "said Taufiq.

Taufiq also said, the plan to move the central government of West Java had existed before the leadership of Ridwan Kamil-Uu Ruzhanul Ulum. This was realized with the Walini Government Center study conducted by the West Java Housing and Settlements Department (Disperkim).

"It already exists (before the leadership of Ridwan Kamil-Uu), realized by the study of the Walini Government Center by the Disperkim. With the dynamics of infrastructure development, options other than walini are examined, "he said.

"The main consideration was the choice of the three regions because of the superiority of connectivity and regional infrastructure. Then, there is the Fast Train, BIJB, and Cipali, "he added.

According to Taufiq, West Java Bappeda itself has reviewed the three regions by considering a number of aspects. Starting from the carrying capacity of the environment and land, social, and law.

"Bappeda and Disperkim are currently studying selected options. In addition, Bappeda has also coordinated with the districts that will become the study locations. So, we have comprehensive data, "he concluded.
