West Java Deputy Governor Asks Digital Literacy Religious Education Institutions

GARUT REGENCY - Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum asked religious education institutions, such as pesantren or digital literacy madrassas. It is important to open up opportunities for these educational institutions to progress and develop.

As stated by Uu when attending the Madrasah Teacher Training and Workshop owner of the Garut District Inpassing SK (Madrasah) in Favehotel, Garut Regency, Tuesday (8/27/19).

"I hope that all Islamic boarding schools, institutions or foundations (religious education) must be digital literate, so that opportunities from the government can be put to good use," Uu said.

"If you want to get help, please submit it through the online RKPD. Therefore, you must be digital literate," he added in front of Madrasah teachers in Garut Regency in the activity.

Uu admitted that his party wanted to build togetherness and synergy with all parties involved in the development of education in West Java. That way there is no dichotomy between teachers who are under the auspices of the Department of Education and Madrasa teachers who are under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion.

"We want to build togetherness between teachers from the Education Office and Madrasah teachers," he said.

Furthermore, Uu also explained that related to various programs that could be used by religious education institutions. Like the One Pesantren One Product (OPOP) program that has not been absorbed by many pesantren, especially pesantren in remote areas.

"For OPOP, there are a lot of pesantren in the pesantren that are not touched by the OPOP program. In fact, this program is our program to help Islamic boarding schools," he said.

Uu rate, the OPOP program is still dominated by the implementation of boarding schools that are already advanced or exist in urban areas. For that reason, next year there will be a shift in the OPOP program's target for Islamic boarding schools in remote areas, especially those that are not yet economically independent.

"The OPOP program is still dominated by those who have already developed pesantren in urban areas, even though that is actually their right because they are pesantren, why not. Next year there will be a segment transfer, namely pesantren segments in the village, pesantren with few santrams, the dormitory is still still "That's not good. That's what we hope next year we will receive OPOP," he concluded.
