BANDUNG -In order to Improve quality resources, Bukalapak held the 2nd Programming Contest in Bandung. This event took place on 9 April 2016 at Amaroosa Hotel, as well as by more than 100 students of informatics and computer science engineering from Bandung and Jabodetabek.
The program is expected to enhance the capabilities of a software engineer in Indonesia. Students encouraged to learn programming especially in improving coding and build a better talent that can compete with and contribute to the Indonesia digital world. Students are required to complete the puzzle algorithm using C / C ++, Java, Ruby or Python.
Nugroho Herucahyono, CTO and Co-Founder of Bukalapak said Bukalapak wants to encourage technological progress in Indonesia.
"One way is to develop the potential of young programmers. Therefore, through this activity is expected that the programmer can compete as well as encouraging the spirit of high learning and a desire for growth," he said.
Nugroho added that the number of IT workers in Indonesia have been inadequate. The number of jobs provided more than labor. Therefore this programming contest is expected to increase the interest of students in Indonesia to study IT and in order to improve competitiveness.
Before starting the competition, the students are given guidance on the rules and regulations of final BLPC. All students are very enthusiastic to join this race. Students who attend will compete for prizes such as MacBook Pro, iPhone 6s and 6s, also 2external 1 TB hard drive.
The competition was won by Ahmad Zaky students from ITB (2012) as the first prize, followed by students from Bina Nusantara University Alvin Setiadi (2012) as the second winner, and third place was won by Luqman Arifin Siswanto students from ITB (2013) and the 4th and 5th champion are Tjandra Satria Gunawan from UI (2012) and Jauhar Arif students from ITB (2015).
