BANDUNG CITY- West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil held a meeting with 12 educational figures and researchers from Australia who are members of the Board of Australia-Indonesia Center (AIC) at the Pakuan Building, Bandung City, Monday (8/26/19). AIC is a research institute formed by the Indonesian government under the leadership of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
According to Emil - greeting Ridwan Kamil -, in the meeting, the West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) and AIC will collaborate to find answers about development challenges. He also said, AIC will be involved in the Citarum Harum program and inclusive economic development in villages throughout West Java.
"They will help us succeed in the Citarum Harum program through their knowledge, also involved in the development of an inclusive economy in the village," Emil said.
In addition, Emil said, AIC will conduct research on the digital economy. According to him, the involvement of AIC is a manifestation of the application of the Penthahelix concept which is applied by the West Java Provincial Government in running the wheels of government. Penthahelix itself is cooperating with five elements, namely ABCGM (Academics, Business, Community, Government, and Media), in development.
"Their research will benefit our development, this is a form of Penthahelix's collaboration not only from within the country, but from abroad," he said.
"So research like this is needed. Please let us be very open about who has good intentions for West Java," he continued.
On the same occasion, the West Java Provincial Government and AIC signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) as a form of serious cooperation between the two parties. "We immediately signed a Letter of Intent to show seriousness. So, directly to the action plan," concluded Emil.
