UIN Jakarta requested support from ITB related to its development planning. Inside the underground campus will be made an auditorium, theater facilities, indoor sports facilities, meeting rooms, museums and some are underground passageways that combine stadiums and student centers. The infrastructure is built to support the campus student and academic activities. "For us this is a beautiful dream, hopefully it can be done," he said.
He said further, that collaboration with ITB had actually been carried out in the case of establishing a mining study program at UIN Jakarta. Some of the experts and instructors in the study program are ITB graduates. He hoped, by this MoU, it would become the gate for future collaboration programs.
Meanwhile, ITB Rector, Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi welcomed the planned construction of the stadium and underground campus. This will be an interesting challenge to be resolved, given the construction that requires special handling. "And also thank you for giving trust to our friends at ITB to participate," said Prof. Kadarsah.
Prof. Kadarsah added that the construction of sports facilities is equally important on campus because it can create a balance of student soft skills. "We are happy and ready to help the success of UIN Jakarta. May the noble intention of the Rector will get the blessing of Allah, and may our cooperation will produce that blessing," he concluded. Jo
