SUKABUMI -- Community empowerment by using Appropriate Technology (TTG) is valued to be able to increase economic growth.
West Java Governor, Ridwan Kamil said that TTG could create efficiency of production costs, improve process, improve production quality, also increase capacity and added value.
Presented at the Peak of 11th TTG at Province Level Exhibition 2019, Emil -- greeting of Ridwan Kamil-- said that West Java Provincial Government keeps using technology as a strategic efforts in need fulfillment.
"I am happy about this Appropriate Technology exhibition, because of the technology which is needed, such as agriculture and village,"said Emil at City Park of Merdeka Field, Sukabumi, Wednesday (21/8/19).
Emil hopes, West Java can go forward to become the leading province in TTG development. West Java Provincial Government will also encourage, and support
innovators to keep experimenting, including to realize the Champion Village in the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
"West Java Provincial Government will keep to focus on improving economy and
village empowerment in order to reduce imbalance development between city and village, "Emil said.
This year is the ninth year of the TTG exhibition at West Java Province Level. Head of the Community and Village Empowerment Agency (DPM-Desa) of West Java Province, Dedi Supendi, said that the TTG exhibition was held at West Java Province Level as well as a preparation for participating in the TTG at National Level which takes place 21-25 September 2019 in Bengkulu.
In the ninth TTG exhibition in Sukabumi, a signing agreement (MoU) was also held
between the West Java Provincial Government and PT. Multidaya Teknologi Nusantara related to the development of West Java Fishery Digital Village (E-Fishery).
"The prototype of this activity (E-Fishery) has been implemented in Indramayu
on catfish commodity. The use of Industrial Revolution 4.0 technology in catfish livestock has an impact on increasing the number of farmer's catfish harvest," said Dedi.
"Regarding postharvest, we have also collaborated with a number of e-commerce platform to market village's products online, so the marketing network is broader, "he added.
In the ninth TTG exhibition 2019 in Sukabumi, there were 27 Cities/Regencies in
West Java also showed its superior TTG innovation products with a total of 46 TTG on display.
To encourage the use of TTG and realize the Champion Village, the West Java Provincial Government has a Digital Village program. At present, as many as 600 villages in West Java have Wifi network, so citizens can use it for free to do business
West Java's population itself is 48.7 million in 2018, with 25-30 percent live in rural area which is spreaded over 5,312 villages and 645 urban villages throughout West
Besides Digital Village, there is also One Village One Company (OVOC) program,
One Pesantren One Product (OPOP), Patriot Desa, Kredit Mesra, Maskara,
BUMDesa, Sapa Warga, until Layad Rawat to encourage village empowerment becomes the center of civilization and economy.
