    West Java PLN Increases Synergy with Stakeholders in West Java


    BANDUNG - PT PLN West Java Main Unit increased synergy with four other institutions to realize the winning of West Java electricity.

    The form of synergy was carried out through a joint signing between PLN and West Java Provincial Government, West Java Regional Police, Siliwangi Regional Military Commander III and West Java Energy and Mineral Resources Department (ESDM) at Trans Hotel Bandung, Tuesday (8/20). The signing was carried out during the Multi-Stakeholder Forum of the PLN Forum in the West Java Work Area with the theme of 'Rempug Jukung Sauyunan Nyiptakeun Listrik Jabar Juara Lahir Batin'.

    Evp PLN Central Java (JBT) Eko Yudo Pramono in his speech said that currently, PLN has made various efforts to prepare the reliability of electricity in West Java. Among others, to build a 46 thousand KM transmission line including building 108 thousand MVA substations.

    "Besides, PLN must also secure existing assets, where there are already more than 59 thousand MW that must be maintained," he said.

    On that occasion, he apologized and ask for understanding from the people of West Java related to the blackout that occurred on August 4. He stated that PLN is ready to compensate the losses suffered by the community following applicable regulations.

    "If PLN's losses itself are around Rp. 800 billion. But the community's loss is much greater, it could be up to 10 times, so, I apologize for the incident," he said.

    He said the incident was a challenge as well as a warning so that PLN must always ready if there is an extraordinary event. For this reason, according to him, there is a need for cooperation with several stakeholders, including in West Java in maintaining the conduciveness of electricity supply.

    "Yesterday's incident was due to trees, so in the future, it is hoped that cooperation with the Regional Government and the apparatus to disseminate to the community about the need of tree pruning which is suspected to be able to disrupt electricity," he said. Jo
