PURWAKARTA - When reviewing several points in the Jatiluhur Reservoir on Sunday (18/8/19), the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil ensured that attractions in Purwakarta Regency were revitalized in 2019.
The Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil said that the arrangement of the Jatiluhur Reservoir was a commitment in realizing West Java as a tourism province. Hopefully, the face of the new Jatiluhur Reservoir can attract more tourists and become a new tourist attraction.
"In the future Jatilihur will be busy and full of positive activities. West Java province of tourism is my commitment, we will reorganize and add new tourism at several points," Emil said.
The special one about the revitalization plan, continued Emil, is that the construction of a floating mosque in the middle of a reservoir that was designed directly by him. Tourists also get a new option to worship in the middle of the reservoir by using a boat first.
"So if people want to pray, there are two choices, can be on land or in water using a boat first," Emil added.
Even in the Pamundingan area which is still in the Jatiluhur Reservoir area, a hotel with a floating concept will be built. Emil explained, the hotel would stand on a large float following the water surface conditions that had guaranteed safety.
"The hotel, which is typical of Jatiluhur, is not on land, but in water with a buoy. When the water level rises around January to May, the hotel goes up. When the water is shrinking or the dry season, it also goes down. No problem, (also) with access to 20 minutes from the entrance area, "Emil said.
Besides, the merchant stalls will also be moved to a better area. This relocation of traders certainly will not harm the traders but aims to increase the income of the traders.
The arrangement of Jatiluhur Reservoir stage one will temporarily use land owned by Perum Jasa Tirta (PJT) II. At present the whole area structuring project is tracking the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) process with an estimated budget of Rp20 to 30 billion per point. The area arrangement has also been agreed with the management of the Jatiluhur Reservoir.
"While in phase one we will use PJT II land. The funds have been prepared and construction will begin this year," Emil said.
"This is part of the development so that all will get the good of the region, citizens become workers and have economic activities, then Purwakarta PAD can also increase," he concluded. (Pun)
