    Daily Task of West Java Regional Secretary: Population, Family Planning and Family Development (KKBPK) Becomes a National Priority Project

    BANDUNG - Daily Task of West Java Regional Secretary, Daud Achmad said, the rate of population growth in West Java is relatively fast. One cause is the average woman of childbearing age or Total Fertility Rate (TFR) is still high.

    "Therefore, birth control is very important because it has an impact on the competitiveness of the region and its human development index," Daud said when opening the Review of the West Java Provincial Population, Family Planning and Family Development (KKBPK) Program 2019 in Papandayan Hotel, Bandung, Tuesday (6/8/19).

    In addition, Daud stated, stunting, underprivileged families, and dropped out children, are still a problem in West Java and get attention. Therefore, he considered the KKBPK program could solve the sequence of problems and becoming a national priority project.

    Daud also hopes that KKBPK can be one of the factors in West Java success in producing healthy, intelligent, innovative, highly competitive, cultured, productive and happy future generations.

    "So, this program gives a big contribution to the development of human resources in the present and the future," he said.

    "Through the improvement of innovative public services with the aim of increasing population control," Daud continued.

    According to Daud, the West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) has made various efforts. One of them is managing and educating approximately 2,035 family planning villages in West Java.

    On the same occasion, Daud asked KKBPK not only to be oriented on birth rates, but also to focus on efforts to fulfill service quality. "Also respecting reproductive rights in improving the quality of family life," concluded David.
