BANDUNG - West Java Central Statistical Agency (BPS) said that the West Java NTP of July 2019 decreased by 0.23 percent compared to July 2018, from 109.52 to 109.27.
In July 2019, only one of five subsectors experienced an increase that is Horticultural crops sub-sector with an increase of 0.31 percent.
"NTP figures indicate the trade terms of agricultural commodities with farmers' goods and services consumption both for farmers household's needs and production process costs. The higher the NTP rate, this means the stronger purchasing power of farmers, "said Head of West Java BPS Dody Herlando.
Based on the results of monitoring prices in 18 districts of West Java province in July 2019, NTP West Java decreased by 0.23 percent compared to July 2018, from 109.52 to 109.27.
The price index of agricultural production (IT) rose by 0.31 percent and the price index of goods and services consumed by farmers (IB) rose by 0.55 percent. NTP grew negatively because the increase of IT was smaller than the increase of IB. In July 2019, only one of five subsectors experienced an increase that is Horticultural crops sub-sector with an increase of 0.56 percent.
If it is sorted from the largest decline, the Fisheries subsector is the largest subsector that is equal to -1.08 percent. Furthermore, the Food Crop subsector has decreased by 0.49 percent, the People Plantation subsector has decreased by 0.35 percent, and the Livestock subsector has decreased by 0.03 percent.
"The NTP of the Food Crop Subsector in July 2019 decreased by 0.49 percent, from 106.05 to 105.53," he explained. Jo
