Ridwan Kamil Ensures that West Java Government's Administration Is Not Interrupted

BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil ensured that the administration of the West Java government would not be interrupted after the legal status of the Regional Secretary of West Java Province Iwa Karniwa was determined. RK - greeting Ridwan Kamil - also respects the ongoing legal process.

"We make sure the administration of the government is not disrupted, all matters related to budget meetings and others remain smooth because the bureaucracy in our government has a system that has been anticipated," he said in Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Tuesday (7/30/19).

According to RK, the West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) has coordinated with the Ministry of Home Affairs, which suggested that Iwa focus on undergoing a legal process. Iwa himself took the initiative to take a large leave after receiving a letter of determination from the KPK.

Therefore, the RK appointed Assistant I for the Government, Law and People's Welfare Section of the West Java Regional Secretariat, Daud Ahmad, as the Acting Secretary of West Java Regional Secretary as of 30 July 2019.

"I met in person last night with Mr. Iwa. The point is he understands that as of today the position as Regional Secretary will be arranged in such a way that development continues, so that Mr. Iwa is fully concentrating on his case," he said.

In the same occasion, RK appealed to the entire State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the West Java Provincial Government to uphold professionalism and integrity as a public servant.

"We urge that the Regional Heads at the second level continue to improve the spirit of clean government, integrity and professionalism, including the State Civil Apparatus, to focus on work. Hopefully West Java will be much better," he said.

RK stated that the West Java Provincial Government had made various efforts to improve clean and good governance and bureaucratic reform, such as initiating e-Budgeting, e-Planing, peer review assessment for staffing, and an integrated online system for budgeting.

"We are committed to fixing deficiencies in the past including eradicating Corruption, Collusion, and Nepotism (KKN) and clean government," he said.
