West Java Provincial Government Seriously Prevents Negative Information and Hoax

BANDUNG - The Provincial Government of West Java  continues to strive and innovate in managing information. The goal is the people get good and accurate information. One of the three steps is by forming Jabar Saber Hoaks, social media of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD), and Sapa Warga.

"It simply ensures information that moves in the society is good and accurate," West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said when met after the opening of the 9th Technical Working Meeting (Rakernis) of the Indonesian Information Commission in the Courtyard Marriot Hotel, Bandung, Monday (Monday) 7/29/19).

RK - as Ridwan Kamil is called - said, information is crucial for the future of the nation. Moreover, in the digital age, information flows so swiftly that it impacts a flood of negative information or false information.

"Towards the transparency (information) of God willing with the Central Information Commission. But, managing negative information is a shared challenge, "he said.

The Daily Task of the Secretary of the Central Information Commission (KIP) Bambang Sigit Nugroho explained, the Rakernis aims to strengthen national coordination in carrying out its duties, functions and authority as well as strengthening the implementation of public information disclosure.

"The aim is to improve the performance of the Information Commission's real contribution to the implementation of public information disclosure," he said.

"And through this Rakernis it is hoped that information commission commissioners can exchange opinions to formulate things that can contribute to strengthening public information disclosure," he added.

This year's KIP Rakernis has the theme "Optimizing Information Openness to Realize a Global Competitive Indonesia". The meaning, by implementing massive public information disclosure, is expected that the Indonesian people can compete with other countries.

Rakernis participants themselves are commissioners from the provincial information commission of 60 people and information commissioners from 12 districts/cities in Indonesia. The Rakernis was held on July 29-31, 2019.
