BANDUNG REGENCY - The West Java Governor, Mochamad Ridwan Kamil, has directly monitored the development of volcanic activity on Mount Tangkuban Parahu, together with elements of West Java BPBD, West Java Tourism and Culture Office, and elements of the TNI / Polri.
During his visit, the Governor went straight to the Tangkuban Parahu Volcano Observation Post owned by the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) and received a direct explanation from Hendra Gunawan as the Head of Volcano Mitigation on the condition of the Tangkuban Parahu earthquake.
After getting the explanation, the Governor went straight to the crater of Mount Tangkuban Parahu and held talks with the manager of the Mount Tangkuban Parahu Natural Tourism Park (TWA) about the condition in TWA after a phreatic eruption.
To the reporter, the Governor stated that, the eruption that occurred in Tangkuban Parahu crater was not a magma eruption, but a water vapor eruption which called phreatic eruption and serine inj pattern occurred in Tangkuban Parahu crater including in 2013 ago.
The governor hopes that in the next few days a tourist visit to Tangkuban Parahu can be opened soon, especially now according to the recommendation of the Tangkuban Parahu PVMBG is still in normal status or level 1.
