KARAWANG - Based on data from the Ministry of Industry, there are around 90 industrial estates operating in Indonesia. The majority are in West Java with 25 industrial zones. The data shows that Pasundan Land is a prima donna for investors to invest.
According to West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, this is due to the high interest in investing in the industrial sector. In order to support these conditions, he said, the availability of adequate infrastructure must be attention.
"Infrastructure facilities such as ports, airports, highways, railways, fast trains, etc., we continue to build to encourage the advancement of the investment climate in Indonesia, especially in West Java," he said when met after the 2019 Group Groundbreaking Ceremony for Karawang New Industry City (KNIC) Tenants, in the KNIC region, Karawang, Thursday (6/20/2019).
Emil - as Ridwan Kamil was called - said, his party was committed to supporting the development of the investment climate in West Java. He also encourages sustainable or sustainable industries. Therefore, he stressed to industry players to pay attention to three aspects.
These three aspects include economic aspects, environmental aspects, and social aspects. In addition, said Emil, the presence of investors in the industrial sector in Indonesia must provide extensive employment opportunities for the community. Thus, investment brings a multiplier-effect to people's welfare.
"Moreover, the local community must be the host in their own city," he said. "In the end Insyaallah, we will be developed countries, in 26 years we will become a superpower with a sustainable industry concept," Emil continued.
On the same occasion, Emil hopes that the development of KNIC will become a momentum for the construction of world-class industrial estates in West Java. The presence of a number of investors in KNIC is required to boost the economy of surrounding communities, West Java and Indonesia.
In this ground breaking, as many as 6 companies began building factories in KNIC. The six companies are PT Wonderful Food International (China), PT Binamitra Kwartasedaya (Indonesia), PT Ikimura Indotools Center (Japan), PT Wook Global Technology (China), PT Brightgene Biomedical Indonesia (Taiwan and Indonesia), and PT Ruiyuan (China )
These companies are engaged in various sectors, ranging from candy making, automotive components, e-commerce, bio-medical, to construction engineering and real estate developers. "Today is important, because investors are usually listening to the news. If the news is positive, usually other guests will come to do the same (invest) later," Emil said.
Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto said the presence of 6 companies at KNIC was a fairly fast investment process in developing industrial estates in Indonesia. He is also determined to make Indonesia an 'investment paradise' by welcoming other investors who want to invest in Indonesia.
"Hopefully the management of this region will bring a good climate to the Indonesian economy," he said.
