    Karawang Plans to Held the International Dance Festival In 2019

    KARAWANG-Karawang is not only known by the industry as well as its history, but also known by various cultures typical of the identity of the Karawang regency, one is Jaipong.

    On the morning activities by doing exercise together in the first week of April 2016, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Karawang collaborated with several dance studio in Karawang namely Studio Sekar Taji, Studio Rigas, Studio Dewi Kania and Studio Ciptaning Candradimuka to perform Gending Karawang and Maung Lugay dance that performed by children from the studio. The event was held at the Karang Pawitan field on Friday (01/04/16)

    In the event attended by Regent of Karawang dr. Cellica Nurrachadiana and Vice Regent Karawang, Ahmad Zamakhsari, S. Ag., and the entire head of the OPD, and ASN throughout Karawang

    According to the Head of Culture and Tourism of Karawang Okih Hermawan, the display of dance performances in these event aims to stimulate the spirit and motivation of the children's dance studio to be more spirit in practice, as planned in 2018, where Karawang will be a host in the festival of dance competitions nationwide.

    "Insyaallah inv2018 Karawang will be the host in the festival of national dance competitions, and we are planning to organise the next festival continuously," said Okih Hermawan.

    Furthermore, Okih Hermawan informs the preparation of Disbudpar of Karawang in the Jaipong International Dance Festival which will be held in 2019. "If you talk about communication, we have communicated with the outside, we've got 20 countries are invited to communicate regarding to this event. But to make these activities to be realised we need the support of the relevant agencies. It takes time, but we will try our best," explains Okih Hermawan.
