BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil reviewed the readiness of Eid Homecoming 2019 land transportation at Cicaheum Terminal, Bandung, Saturday (01/06/2019). Direct observation of Lebaran transportation has been carried out by Emil - Ridwan Kamil's address - in a number of locations.
According to Emil, he regularly conducts reviews to find out the conditions for the homecoming season this time. Moreover, West Java has become a trajectory of traffic movements and homecoming on Java.
"Alhamdulillah, we have had several opportunities to check the readiness of going home, yesterday with the National Police Chief, TNI Commander in Cikopo, Purwakarta Regency, today at Cicaheum Terminal," he said.
"My monitor per day is also smooth, next we benefit from yesterday's holiday, there is a day of clamping, so this year's travelers will have more free time choices," he continued.
Emil appreciated the policy of the Cicaheum Terminal manager who marked the road-worthy bus with stickers. He said, this is one of the preventive measures to reduce the level of accidents and congestion on the homecoming route.
"I am very happy because the bus here is worthy of a sticker, that the bus has been inspected. This is because last year there was a lot of congestion because the bus broke down on the road, causing excessive traffic jams," he said.
In addition, Emil predicts the flow of going back and forth this year will be smoother than the previous year. Because, some infrastructure, such as Trans North Java, are already operating. Then, the Ministry of Transportation's policy regarding one way is considered effective to unravel the accumulation of vehicles at certain points.
On the same occasion, Emil greeted the travelers directly at Cicaheum Terminal. Not to forget, he conveyed an appeal to travelers so they would not invite relatives to come to the city, especially the city of Bandung. Because the flow of urbanization is so heavy after Eid.
"I urge you not to bring your friends back to Bandung, God willing, as Governor, I develop the regional economy, so that there is no excessive urbanization to the metropolitan area," he said.
